About Axion’s Patent-Pending Downpipe:
This combo replaces the highly restrictive O.E. pre-cat with a free-flowing, contoured, hand-welded, full radius 3.0″ tubing. The upper factory heat shields cannot still be installed; PTP downpipe blankets are recommended as an alternative.
The entire assembly is made of high-quality 304 stainless steel and is TIG welded by master welders in the USA.
This patent-pending downpipe is designed to be 100% EPA legal so a catless downpipe is not required. The catless portion can be swapped at the track for racing events only, and the catted portion can be returned within 5 minutes using V-band clamps, making the swap extremely easy.
This downpipe works with the OEM front pipe or with 3″ aftermarket front pipes.
